* On 28 oceanfront acres, Hotel del Coronado is adjacent to Coronado Beach and five miles from downtown San Diego. The hotel completed a $150 million renovation in December 2007, which added cottages, a spa, restaurants, and shops.
* Lush lawns and gardens, along with its elegant ballroom, make this resort a popular venue for weddings and other events. The hotel offers 65,000 square feet of meeting space. A business center offers computers with high-speed Internet access.
* A new health spa (opened January 2007) offers 21 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, steam rooms, and relaxation areas for men and women. The new fitness center (opened April 2007) offers personal training by appointment.
* The resort offers six restaurants, including the signature 1500 Ocean and the Crown Room with its arched, 30-foot-high pine ceiling.

* Furnishings vary but include carved wooden headboards and wicker and cane furniture. Some units have patios and balconies; shuttered windows open. Room amenities include air conditioning, high-speed Internet access, coffeemakers, and The Sea bath products specifically designed for the hotel. Local calls, Monday-Saturday newspapers, and Internet access are included in the resort charge. All rooms are nonsmoking. |
