Towards the end Joo Chiat Road is Hotel 81 Joo Chiat, the last of four Hotel 81s along Joo Chiat Road. As with all Hotel 81s in Singapore guestrooms are quite small but simple and clean. And with only 81 guestrooms there is a surprisingly wide variety of room types from which to choose.
Restored from old shophouses, Hotel 81 Joo Chiat replaces retains the old charms but added in comfort for their rooms. |

The Hotel81 - Joo Chiat is located in the old residential district of Katong, the area is famous for it old world charm and famous Peranakan cuisine. It is also a 10-minute drive to the beaches and parks in the East Coast and a 20 minute walk from the Paya Lebar MRT station. |

* Facilities are a bit limited. There is no restaurant on the premises however there any number of restaurants just outside the hotel along Joo Chiat Road. |

* There are 5 room types; Standard, Superior, Twin, Deluxe and Family. The difference is that Standard Rooms have a queen size bed only, while Superior and Deluxe rooms have queen size bed, DVD player and mini bar. Deluxe Rooms also have an additional sofa bed. Twin Room have 2 single beds. Family Rooms are the largest and feature a queen size bed and one single bed. Handicapped and non smoking rooms are available.
* All rooms in the Hotel 81 Joo Chiat have individually controlled air conditioning, IDD telephone, bathroom with tub and shower, coffee or tea making facilities and hairdryer. Mini bar is available in Superior and Deluxe Room only. Iron and ironing board are available on request. |
